Stubb Mill

A mid morning walk up the track provided the welcome sight of a Little Owl along its favored hedgerow, surely over looked in previous years? Also noted a single Brambling with a handful of Chaffinch. After lunch are trawl around Felbrigg provided nothing new, the three Stonechat still present and just 8 Tufties, no Gadwall and 4 Coot.

On arriving back home, Rob Lee called a tempting offer of a lift down to the Stubb Mill raptor roost, one which was too tempting to turn down! From approx 1600 onwards we enjoyed upto 33 Marsh Harrier, 2 Barn Owl, 1 Merlin, 1 Hen Harrier, a Harris Hawk(!) 2 Sparrowhawk, 2 Common Crane, 2 Chinese Water Deer and hundreds of Pink-footed Geese. A grand way to spend a late winter afternoon
