The Barn Owl has been fairly prevalent during the daylight hours this weekend, and by the looks of the ringed leg, it is likely that its the same bird seen at the beginning of the autumn. This is good news because we had noticed him by his absence since returning from our hols.

Hi Andy. I know it's several miles away, so likely a different bird, but I saw a ringed Barn Owl along my lane in Happisburgh on Jan 21st. I often see them well here but haven't noticed one with a ring before...
Hi James! good to hear from you. It would be nice if these owls were colour-ringed, then we could really see what they were doing, but must certainly be a different bird.
