Tonight- mild, dark and damp, is perfect for mothing. A great excuse not to endure Eastenders, a check just now produced 2 Pale-brindled Beauty, a Chestnut and a March Moth.

Barn Owl spotted quartering meadow rear of Honeysuckle Cottage/Little Owlswick at 4.30 p.m. in setting sunshine! How many Barn Owls do you think we have in Aylmerton? Such pleasure to veiw your excellent blog.
Thanks for the comment Rita, glad you enjoy the blog. I think we probably have a breeding pair, lets say to the east of the village without being too specific! Though during late winter early spring I have had 3 Barn Owl within the boundary. I think they were enjoying the rats along School Lane!
A small parish in North Norfolk, this site has been set up to share the records and sightings of wildlife throughout the seasons, and hopefully inspire people to see whats on their own doorstep.
